Special Sunday services are held on various themes, when we deviate from the liturgy of the CNI and special collect, readings and intercessions are used. Some of these are Leprosy Sunday (to commemorate the work of those working to eradicate Leprosy), Mothering Sunday (fourth Sunday in Lent, when the role of women in the church is highlighted), Teachers’ Sunday (when the role of teachers in our society is upheld), Children’s Sunday (when the role of children in the life of the Church is highlighted) Remembrance Sunday (commemorating members of the armed forces and law enforcement authorities who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country), Harvest Sunday (when fruits, vegetables, processed foodstuffs and items of daily use are auctioned and the proceeds used for various church needs) and others.
