Support to Christian Organizations:

A.  The Bible Society of India
Financial assistance is provided to this organization which prints and distributes Bibles and related literature in various Indian languages and dialects, including English.

B.  Leprosy Mission India
Financial assistance is provided to this organization which works for eradication of leprosy and providing relief and rehabilitation to leprosy patients.

C.  Bishop’s College
Bishop’s College is a premier seminary of the Church of North India. Our Church is closely associated with this institution. Financial assistance is provided every year by the Church, while some members also individually support its work. Ordinands (seminary students) are accepted every year by the Church for practical training in the pastoral ministry. The Principal of the College, a member of the church occasionally preaches and celebrates at the altar. Two Professors of New Testament are also members of our Church and both of them regularly bring us the Word of God. A large number of the present clergy of the CNI especially in the Diocese of Kolkata, our Presbyter and the present Bishop, Moderator of the Church of North India and Deputy Moderator are all former students.

Diocesan Education Mission:

This organization provides funds for financially distressed students. WFCS sets up a “White Elephant Stall” and money raised in handed over to the DEM.

The Scripture Union:

Financial assistance is provided to this organization which prints and publishes Christian literature and also distributes Bibles.

Dhanya Budbar mahasabha:

This is an organization which organizes a revival programme every year in various areas of our State of West Bengal in the month of February. This organization commemorates a “Pentecost” experience which occurred on 20th February 1895 in the village of Maliapota in the District of Nadia of West Bengal. Financial assistance is provided by the church which goes towards defraying the expenses for setting up a temporary camp at the venue of the meeting where thousands gather for two days of spirited sermons, singing and a mass Holy Communion.

TB Clinic:

A clinic for treatment of tuberculosis patients functions from the campus of the Church. Our Presbyter is on the Board which oversees the Clinic.
