This consists of the children of the Church. They join the main service of the Church for the opening hymn, collect and readings and thereafter go for classes held in the adjacent St. James’ School, where they have a time singing, scripture lessons and also some fun in between. They return to the Church just during the Communion. After the Communion is served all the Sunday School children go up to the altar rails where our Presbyter and other clergy if present or lay preacher blesses each of them. Our Sunday School children enthusiastically join with children of Sunday Schools of other churches for various programmes, the most important of which is a “Vacation Bible School” held in the cathedral of the diocese during summer holidays. Last year the Sunday School children also raised funds for relief of those facing anti-Christian persecution and flood victims. The Sunday School Teachers are Mrs. Melody Myers and Mrs. Candida Pope (our Presbyter’s wife) and assisted by Miss Joyeeta Singh.
